This Saturday! iPad 2 Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament September 3rd at AU Blue Bell

Alternate Universes Blue Bell will be holding a special Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament on Saturday, September 3rd, 2011.  First place prize will be a brand new Apple  iPad 2! Registration will open at 11AM and the tournament will begin promptly at Noon.  Entry fee is $25.  Registration is limited to 75 players.

The complete prize structure is:

1st Place:  Apple iPad 2
2nd Place: 2x Solemn Warning & $100.00 store credit  (Note: the sharp increase in price for Tour Guides makes it impossible for us to offer them as a 2nd place prize as previously announced.)
3rd & 4th Places: $100.00 store credit each
5th through 8th:  1 sealed box of Generation Force each!

We will also be giving away several door prizes!

This is an Advanced Constructed Swiss-Style tournament with the number of rounds depending on the number of players.  There will be a top 8 cut.  Local tournament rules will be in effect, so there will be no draws.

Additionally, we will be holding 8-player single elimination box tournaments beginning after the 2nd round.  Entry fee for the box tournaments will be $12.00.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Generation Force Sneak Peek Events August 6th & 7th

Alternate Universes will be hosting Yu-Gi-Oh Generation Force Sneak Peek Events Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th at the Holmes, Blue Bell  & Wilmington stores.  The dueling will begin on Saturday, August 6th at 9:30AM and run until 5:00PM.  Dueling will resume on Sunday, August 7th at 11AM and run through 5:00PM.

Entry fee for the event is $20.00.  Each participant will receive 5 booster packs of Generation Force to build a 40 card deck for casual play throughout the day.  Each duelist will also receive a foil promo card.    Additionally, Generation Force Sneak Peek playmats will be randomly given away throughout the day while supplies last.  (Must be present to win.)

Side events will be held at each location as follows:

Holmes
Constructed tournaments at 2PM Saturday & Sunday. $5.00 entry fee.   (Generation Force cards will be legal).  All players receive a Turbo Pack upon entering.

Blue Bell
Saturday, August 6th

Each player will receive 5 booster packs of  Extreme Victory for entering. 


Top 48 finishers receive an invite to Yu-Gi-Oh! Nationals to be held in Pittsburgh, PA!
Top 8 finishers receive additional prizes.
 
Decklists are required and should be prepared in advance.
 
All players are now required to present official ID when registering!  Acceptable forms of ID include:
  • Current-year School ID cards
  • Driver’s licenses
  • Passport
  • Other government-issued identification documents
  • If the Duelist is under the age of 16, a copy of their birth certificate

Please bring your Konami ID Card.   If you do not have your Konami ID card but played at a Philly regional before we may have your ID number.  If you do not have a Konami ID number, they will be available the day of theregional.

Side events will be held beginning after Round 3 and continuing throughout the day!
Tournaments will include:
Win-a Mats (single elimination, $12.00 entry fee, 3 packs upon entry)
Dragon Dueling (12 years old and younger, swiss format, $4.00, 1 pack upon entry)

Vendors will be present to buy, sell and trade!  Card sleeves, deckboxes, binders and other supplies will be available.

Alternate Universes will be hosting Yu-Gi-Oh Storm of Ragnarok Sneak Peek Events February 5th at the Holmes, Blue Bell  & Wilmington stores and Sunday February 6th at the Holmes and Blue Bell stores.   The dueling will begin on Saturday, February 5th at 9:30AM and run until 5:00PM.  Dueling will resume on Sunday, February 6th at 11AM through 5:00PM. 

Entry fee for the event is $20.00.  Each participant will receive 5 booster packs of Storm of Ragnarok to build a 40 card deck for casual play through out the day.  Each duelist will also receive a foil promo card.    Additionally, Storm of Ragnarok Sneak Peek playmats will be randomly given away throughout the day while supplies last.  (Must be present to win.)
