A couple questions about the Peasant EDH tournament
1) As only die-hard, neurotic collectors such as myself would know, Arabian Nights, Antiquities, The Dark, Fallen Empires, Chronicles, and Homelands had only uncommon and common sheets, no rare sheets. The "rarest" card in any of these sets is "Uncommon 1." So can we use any cards from those sets?
2) When choosing cards for our decks, are we required to go by the lowest rarity the card was ever printed? For example, can I use Crypt Rats as my general? It was common in Visions and uncommon in 7th edition. 3) This tournament will require decklists, right? I don't want to see any nine-uncommon specials ruling the day! |

Re: A couple questions about the Peasant EDH tournament
I have a simular question. Gatherer is now pretending that the Dark and Chronicals had rares. Are we just following what Gatherer says or what Starcity says or what was acurate?

Re: A couple questions about the Peasant EDH tournament
I talked to Durkin Monday night, and here's how he answered my questions:
1) Use Gatherer to determine a AN/AQ/DK/FE/CH/HL card's rarity. So, say, Juzam Djinn is considered a rare and thus not allowed. (Not that I have one of those anyway, or would actually play it if I did.) 2) Yes, we must go by the lowest rarity a card was ever printed as. So no Crypt Rats as my general. 3) Oops, I forgot to ask him about decklists... Durkin, please chime in and answer this for us! Just so everybody knows, I plan on making a serious effort to win this thing, especially with Nick Coss going around claiming to have broken the format!

I have a question, Hoping some one can help me out with it, But Exile was printed as a rare in alliances, And it's now on MODO as a common in masters edition 2, so is it playable in peasant edh?
