Saturday July 15th @ 12:00, will be the next War Hammer 40,000 organized play (I use this term loosely). It will be FREE of cost.

Here are the rules:

Armies will consist of 1850 points using a standard force organization chart(s). A player may only enter one (1) army list. All armies must be battle forged. Using on of the detachments listed in the main rulebook. All detachments are legal!

The Warhammer 40K 8th Edition Rules will be used.

FOLLOW WHAT THE NEW RULES ARE, as of right now just bring it. I encourage players try some if the new options, and we can all learn.

In order to keep the activities running on schedule, when time is called for a round, you may finish the turn in an acceptable amount of time. Ending with the bottom of a turn.

The number of games played will be 3, @ 2 1/4 (2hrs 15 mins) hours per round.

For the first round of games, pairings will be randomly generated by the TO by any mystical way he chooses. Subsequent pairings after the first round will be determined by Swiss Style pairings, meaning players of equal standing are matched up for the next round.

The objective of this day is for players to have a good time, and for all of us to become familiar with the new rules. Players should remain courteous and patient with their opponents and the judge.

Hope to see you all on July 15th at 12:00pm

Please remember a few things:
1) all armies must be battle forged
2) we are not using power levels
3) 1850pts using the current detachment options, all are legal!
4) I am a vengeful T.O. And I will ... I mean the main goal of any event we have at alternate universe is for players to have fun!

Today's results:
Today we ran our usual tournament with extremely loose tourney rules. We didn't really keep track of wins and losses. Pairings were done by me just trying to get players familiar with the new rules. i.e. Less experienced players played more experienced players.

Players in no particular order
1 Craig
2 Dave S.
3 Dave B
4 Charvel
5 Chris
6 Jack D
7 Mike
8 Tj
9 Kevin
10 Jeff
11 Paul
12 John
13 Jack R

Notes:
We had 13 players in all show up.
Paul Bagosy returned to play a couple games.
Dave Scarlatella returned and played all three rounds and went 3-0
Craig went 3-0
Craig's friends from the great white north don't exist

I'm sure there are a few other things that I'm forgetting. Next month's tourney is August 12 & we are going back to business as usual. I will post next month's tournament info in a few days.
