February 1st, 2012Dark Ascension Launch Parties are a great way to celebrate the release of the latest Magic: The Gathering set! Play, trade, spend time with friends, and win cool prizes! All participants receive an exclusive Launch Party promo card (while supplies last).
Alternate Universes will be hosting Dark Ascension Launch Parties at all 3 locations:
AU, Blue Bell: Friday, February 3rd at 7:00PM; Draft Format (2x Packs Dark Ascension, 1x Innistrad); Entry Fee: $15.00
AU, Holmes: Saturday, February 4th at 6:00PM; Sealed Deck Format (6x packs of Dark Ascension); Entry Fee: $30.00

January 25th, 2012FREE Trial for Grand Prix Indianapolis
Our goal is run a tournament of 75+ players. To encourage that, in addition to byes normally given away for Grand Prix Trials, we are going to be giving away the following prizes should we get 75 or more players:
1st Place: 4 Booster Boxes of Dark Ascension
2nd Place: 2 Booster Boxes of Dark Ascension
3rd & 4th Place: 1 Booster Box of Dark Ascension
5th-8th Place: 18 Booster Packs of Dark Ascension
9th-16th Place: 9 Booster Packs of Dark Ascension
Count it up, that’s *2 Cases*of Dark Ascension we’re giving away as long as we get 75 or more players! If we don’t reach our goal we will still give away some product just as a show of appreciation for everyone who did show up.

Magic: the Gathering Dark Ascension Prerelease Tournament Schedule
January 7th, 2012Don’t miss the Midnight Prerelease Tournaments!
The Magic: the Gathering Dark Ascension prerelease tournaments will be held Saturday, January 28th at all three AU stores and on Sunday, January 29th at the Holmes store. For this event all three stores will be holding MIDNIGHT PRERELEASE TOURNMENTS in addition to their regularly scheduled events. Format for all event tournaments is sealed deck except for the a Sealed 2-Headed Giant Tournament at Blue Bell. Entry fee is $30.00 at the door or $25.00 if preregistered by Thursday, January 26th. (All preregistrations must be paid).
As usual, pack prizes will also be awarded based on the number of wins.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Order of Chaos Sneak Peek Events January 14th & 15th at all 3 AU stores
December 28th, 2011Alternate Universes will be hosting Yu-Gi-Oh Order of Chaos Sneak Peek Events Saturday, January 14th and Sunday, January 15that the Holmes, Blue Bell & Wilmington stores. The dueling will begin on Saturday, January 14th at 9:30AM and run until 5:00PM. Dueling will resume on Sunday, January 15th at 11AM and run through 5:00PM.
Entry fee for the event is $20.00. Each participant will receive 5 booster packs of Order of Chaos to build a 40 card deck for casual play throughout the day. Each duelist will also receive a foil promo card. Additionally, Order of Chaos Sneak Peek playmats will be randomly given away throughout the day while supplies last. (Must be present to win.)
Side events will be held at each location as follows:

Constructed tournaments at 2PM Saturday & Sunday. $5.00 entry fee. (Order of Chaos cards will be legal). All players receive a Turbo Pack upon entering.

December 28th, 2011Alternate Universes Blue Bell will be hosting a Magic: the Gathering sanctioned Legacy Tournament Showdown on Saturday, January 7th . Registration will open at 10:00 AM with play to begin at 11:00 AM. Prizes will be as follows:
1st place: 4x Tarmogoyf
2nd Place: 4x Snapcaster & 4x Wasteland
3rd & 4th: $75 store credit
5th – 8th: $35.00 store credit (awarded if 25 players register)
Entry fee is $25.00. All participants will be entered into a drawing for random door prizes. This is a DCI sanctioned tournament, so no proxies are permitted.
Yu-Gi-Oh! “Tour Guide” Tournament Saturday December 31st at AU, Blue Bell
December 12th, 2011
Alternate Universes will be holding a “Tour Guide” Tournament at our Blue Store on Saturday, December 31st. Registration will begin at 10AM and play will begin promptly at 11AM. Entry fee is $25.00.
The prize structure for the tournament is:
1st Place: 3x Tour Guide from the Underworld
2nd Place: 2x Tour Guide from the Underworld
3rd & 4th Place: 1x Tour Guide from the Underworld each
5th – 8th: $50.00 store credit
Seating is limited to 84 players. Preregistration will be available in person at the Blue Bell store or by phone (215-277-8251) beginning Tuesday, 12/13/11. Online preregistration will be available soon.

Decklists are required and should be prepared in advance.
All players are now required to present official ID when registering! Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Current-year School ID cards
- Driver’s licenses
- Passport
- Other government-issued identification documents
- If the Duelist is under the age of 16, a copy of their birth certificate
Please bring your Konami ID Card. If you do not have your Konami ID card but played at a Philly regional before we may have your ID number. If you do not have a Konami ID number, they will be available the day of the regional.

Pokemon Noble Victories Prerelease at AU, Blue Bell, Saturday, Oct. 29th

Alternate Universes Blue Bell will be hosting the Pokemon Noble Victories Prerelease on Saturday, October 29th. Registration begins @ 10:00AM; Play begins @ 11:00AM
The entry fee will be $25. The sealed pack tournament means that each player will receive 6 boosters of the new Noble Victories set to build a deck and play for 4 rounds. Each player will also receive 2 bonus packs just for participating, as well as promo cards and Themed gift items while supplies last. Each Noble Victories booster pack will include a code for the Trading Game Online.
